Alexander von York, CFA
Principal

A founding member of AMF, Mr. von York developed the analytical framework driving the AMF business model while working with Mr. Jakacki and Mr. Klayman at Putnam Lovell Securities in 2001.

He is responsible for the firm’s research effort and frequently serves as a resource to other areas of the firm, with a particular focus on valuation and risk management activities.

From 2001 to 2003, Mr. von York worked with Brown Brothers Harriman, as the Head of Research for the firm’s Asset Allocation and Multiple Advisor Strategy Group. During his time with the company, he co-led the development and implementation of the firm’s asset allocation and asset-manager research capabilities, with primary responsibility for the capital markets forecasting effort supporting them.

In 2003, he re-joined Mr. Jakacki and Mr. Klayman as AMF’s Director of Research. Prior to joining Putnam Lovell Securities, in 2000, Mr. von York worked with BARRA RogersCasey (now CRA RogersCasey), as an Associate Director of Investment Research with responsibilities including capital markets, asset management and applied research.

Mr. von York earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wesleyan University in 1996. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation and memberships in the CFA Institute as well as the Stamford CFA Society.
